Shipping policy
Here's how shipping works at North Coast Salon Systems. We ship from our Cleveland, Ohio warehouse.
Order processing
We process orders Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays. Please allow up to 7 business days for your order to ship after they're placed.
Large orders (40+ line items) or orders containing backordered items may take a day or two longer — we'll email you if there's an unusual delay.
Shipping methods
We ship via:
- USPS — for smaller orders, P.O. boxes, and APO/FPO addresses
- UPS Ground — for most orders going to street addresses
- UPS Expedited (2-Day, Next Day Air) — when you select a faster option at checkout
The carrier and service used for your order are selected at checkout based on the rates available for your address.
Transit times
Once shipped, typical UPS Ground transit times from our Ohio warehouse:
- Ohio and bordering states: 1-2 business days
- Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast: 2-3 business days
- South: 2-4 business days
- Mountain and West Coast: 4-5 business days
Transit time does not include the order processing window. From the day you place the order, expect roughly 8 to 12 business days to delivery for most US destinations on standard ground service.
Shipping rates
Rates are calculated at checkout based on your address, the weight and size of your order, and the carrier service. The total appears before you pay — no surprises.
Free shipping
Orders of $99 or more ship free via standard ground service to the contiguous 48 states. Your cart shows how close you are to the threshold.
Free shipping is not available on expedited services or to Alaska, Hawaii, or APO/FPO addresses (those are calculated at checkout).
Expedited shipping
Need it faster? Select UPS 2-Day or UPS Next Day Air at checkout. Expedited orders are prioritized — we aim to ship them within 1 business day so the faster transit isn't lost waiting in the processing queue.
Tracking
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order leaves our warehouse. Click the tracking link to follow it. If the tracking hasn't updated for several days after the carrier accepted it, email us — we'll chase it down.
P.O. boxes
We ship to P.O. boxes via USPS only. UPS doesn't deliver to P.O. boxes, so if you choose a UPS service for a P.O. box address, we'll convert the order to USPS automatically and refund any rate difference.
APO / FPO
We ship to military APO/FPO addresses via USPS. Transit times vary widely — please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
International shipping
We currently ship within the United States only. We do not ship internationally at this time.
If you have a salon outside the US and want to discuss a special-arrangement order, email us at info@northcoastsalonsystems.com — we may be able to help on a case-by-case basis, but international orders are not available through standard checkout.
Undelivered or returned packages
If a package is returned to us by the carrier (wrong address, unclaimed, refused), we'll email you. We can reship it for the cost of new shipping, or refund the order minus the original shipping cost.
If a tracking number says "delivered" but the package isn't where you expect:
- Check around your salon, with neighbors, and at your front desk
- Wait 24 to 48 hours — sometimes packages are scanned early
- If still missing, contact the carrier with the tracking number, and email us — we'll help you file a claim
Holidays
We're closed on US federal holidays. Orders placed during a holiday window ship on the next business day. We post warehouse-closure dates around major holidays so you can plan around them.
Address changes
If you need to update a shipping address after placing an order, email us right away. If the order hasn't shipped yet, we can change it. Once shipped, address changes typically have to go through the carrier and may incur a fee.
